Obverse

The obverse of this play shows an ice hockey player in action, illustrating the celebrated sport. In the background, we see mountains and trees, representing the typical landscape of Slovakia and adding a national dimension to the scene. At the top, the registration "Majstrovstvá Európy V Hokeji" underlines the commemorated event, the European hockey championships. On the left of the player, the years "1925" and "2025" mark the year of the first tournament and the year of the play. Below, the inscription "Slovensko" clearly indicates the emitting country. The exterior border of the play has twelve stars representing the member countries of the European Union, thus stressing the integration of Slovakia into this community. Each element of the room contributes to its visual harmony. The engravings, carefully made, add an artistic and sporting dimension. Indeed, this piece reflects both the historical heritage and the sporting passion for Slovakia.
