Luxembourg 2012 - 2 Euro commemorative - 10 years of the euro
Obverse
The part represents the place occupied by the euro after 10 years of traffic in the euro zone.
For Luxembourg, the piece differs slightly from the other parts of the common series, because the Luxembourg law requires that the effigy of the Grand Duke appears on all the parts.
In the center of the room appears a hologram which in a certain orientation represents the earth with the symbol "€" and in another orientation the effigy of the Grand Duke Henri. All around the planet are represented by various symbols of economic actors: the European Central Bank by the headquarters of the ECB, ecology and energy by wind turbines, industries with the factory, cities by homes, European citizens by characters and trade by the boat.
The room is issued by each country in the euro zone and bears its name in the country (s) of the country as well as the "2002 2012" dates.
The external ring of the room represents the twelve stars of the European flag.
The graphics were chosen from five drawings preselected by citizens and residents of the European Union, who voted online. He is the work of Helmut Andexlinger, a professional designer at the Austrian currency. His initials "A.H." are present under the representation of the headquarters of the ECB.
