It’s the dream of many: to one day go to space. Did you know that a total of 656 individuals have traveled to space? Less than 12% of them were women. Only 12 countries in the world have female representation in space. Additionally, less than 24% of aerospace employees are women. Statistics that, if it were up to Cosmic Girls, would change. This piece is important because it recognizes a turning point in making space accessible to all.

The Women to Space coin card is a unique issue of the Royal Dutch Mint, in collaboration with Cosmic Girls. With the special card, containing a unique token and a €1 coin, we draw attention to increasing the number of women in space. And that starts by inspiring young girls and showing them that anything is possible: including going to space!
