To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the fastest trigger in the West, the Paris Monnaie launched in 2021 a collection of colorized mini-medals with the effigy of the emblematic characters of Morris's comic strip. The mini-medals are subject to a calibrated broadcast in time, in three launch waves. Each mini-medal is packaged in a map with the main elements of the universe of Lucky Luke.

Rantanplan appeared in 1960 in the pages of the Dalton track. His name is northful first "Ran-Tan-Plan", in reference to Rin-Tin-Tin, the dog star of young and large screens born in the United States in 1954, but with a very different concept: show a Dog as silly in the comic strip as Rin-Tin-Tin could be shiny on the small screen!
