The girl with a pearl - currency of 50 euro money be 2021
FACE
The face presents the famous work of Vermeer "The young girl with a pearl". The "masterpiece of museums" stamp which defines this series has been added at the top of the currency and mixes with the work. At the bottom of the painting, the Museum Facade of the Palume Game in Paris was engraved in Paris where the work was exhibited for the first time outside the Netherlands, 100 years ago, in 1921.
The sumptuous framework surrounding the work was represented by the engravers of the
Money of Paris. The name of the work as well as that of the artist also complete this decor. The 2021 vintage appears at the top left.
Reverse
The reverse is common to the series, it presents a mixture of views of several great French museums: top left, it is an interior view of the Musée d'Orsay, recognizable by its superb clock. Next to it, we find a view of the
Facade of the Louvre, visible from the Napoleon Court (where the very famous pyramid is located). Below these two elements, we see a fresco present on the Salé hotel which houses the Picasso museum. The lower part of the reverse exposes a view of the facade of the Biron hotel which is the current Rodin museum. Above, we find the
Famous staircase at the Center Pompidou. The facial value and the mention "French Republic" are also inscribed on this reverse.
