Italy 2024 - 2 Euro Coincard - 250th anniversary
OBVERSE
The inner part of the coin depicts a commemorative design for the 250th anniversary of the founding of the Guardia di Finanza. It is a stylized version of the heraldic emblem of the Guardia di Finanza that interprets the concept of security and gives a future vision of the role of the corps. This emblem includes various elements: the mountain, the sea and the sky, the natural environments where the corps operates, the griffin (mythological animal that according to legend watches over the treasury) represented by the State treasury, and the turreted crown. In the upper part the inscription "GUARDIA DI FINANZA" and in the lower part, "RI", acronym of the Italian Republic, and the dates "1774-2024", respectively the year of creation of the Guardia di Finanza corps and the year of issue of the coin. On the right, "R", identifying the Mint of Rome, and "MB", initials of the designer Marta Bonifacio.
