The play commemorates the first Spanish site (the historic center of Cordoba) registered on the list of UNESCO's global heritage In 1984. It represents the "forest of pillars" of the Great Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba, one of the largest and oldest witnesses of Islamic art in Europe. Built between VIIIe and Xe A century, the mosque later became a cathedral devoted to Catholic worship, and has undergone several successive transformations. This is the first play in a new series dedicated to the Spanish sites registered on the list of the world inheritance of theUnesco.
