OBVERSE

Sultan Qaitbay Mosque in the center left, located in the funerary complex of Sultan al-Ashraf Qaytbay. This architectural complex was built by Sultan al-Ashraf Qaytbay in the Northern Cemetery of Cairo and completed in 1474. It is often considered one of the most beautiful and accomplished monuments of late Egyptian Mamluk architecture.

REVERSE

Colossal statues of Ramesses II seated at the main entrance to the Great Temple of Abu Simbel, near Aswan, Egypt.
At the top and bottom of the note, divided into two horizontal bands, are birds and other shapes taken from the structure built by Ramesses II in front of the Luxor Temple of Amenhotep II.
