Germany 2015 - 2 Euro commemorative - Hessen - 5 workshops
Commemorative
The Land of Hesse and the Saint-Paul church in Francfort-sur-le-Main.
Obverse
A classic perspective of the Saint-Paul de Frankfurt church (the "Paulskirche", seat of the first freely elected legislative body in Germany in 1849 and considered to be the cradle of German democracy), which is the greatest value prospect recognition. The project highlights the tension between the dominant tower and the elliptical structure of the church. The volley of slightly exaggerated steps has a welcoming character while supporting the underlying inscription "Hessen" (the Land de Hesse in which the Saint-Paul church is located). The interior part also carries the date and the workshop brand on the left and the brand of the engraver (the initials "HH" - Heinz Hoyer) on the right. The outside ring of the room represents the twelve stars of the European flag.
The workshop brand "A", "D", "F", "G" or "J" (each letter corresponding to a hotel of currencies) appears to the left of the drawing.
Reverse
A map of the European continent is represented on a dynamic canvas made up of the twelve stars of the European Union.
