OBVERSE

The inner part of the coin depicts a Lophiiforme that seems to swim through the porthole into the dark sea. If you expose it to ultraviolet light you will find yourself facing a truly frightening monster. And a wide band reminiscent of an old-fashioned porthole frames the aquatic scene. In the upper part, the name of the animal in Austrian "ANGLERFISCH" and the year of issue "2023".

REVERSE

The reverse is a common composition for this series with a representation of the 12 marine animals a blue-ringed octopus, a shark, a mollusc, a lophiiform fish, a scleractinian coral, a yellow ray, a blue surgeonfish, a dwarf cuttlefish, antarctic krill, a firefly squid, a pelagic jellyfish and a devil scorpionfish. Between the animals, stylized representations of the marine space and the name of the issuing country "Republik Osterreich" and the face value "3 euro".
