OBVERSE

This mini-medal pays tribute to the 4 great Allied nations that participated in the Normandy landings on June 6, 1944. Under the bombers, the 4 colored flags overlook three helmets and a beret, each belonging to one of the Allied nations: a Canadian infantry helmet, an American infantry helmet, a British paratrooper beret and a French navy helmet.

REVERSE

The reverse of the mini-medal represents a stylized map of France engraved with the official logo of the event.
