OBVERSE

The central part of the coin bears the effigies of LL. AA. RR. Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duke Jean, looking to the left. A crown is depicted at the top of the central part and the year "1964" is inscribed above the effigy of Grand Duke Jean. The names "Jean" and "Henri" appear below their respective effigies and the year "2014" is inscribed at the bottom of the central part.
This set is surrounded, in the upper part of the central part, by the circular inscription “50th ANNIVERSARY OF THE ACCESSION TO THE THRONE OF GRAND DUKE JEAN”.
The outer ring of the coin depicts the twelve stars of the European flag.
