Obverse

The face of this currency represents the profile portrait of Louis Pasteur as well as a staging of a microscope and a compact holder, where microorganisms appear in reference to pasteurization. The quote from Louis Pasteur "sometimes heal, relieve often, always listen" as well as crystals that recall his first crystallography works complete the decor.
