OBVERSE

The design depicts an amber disc, one of the most characteristic symbols of Baltic culture. The disc is decorated with a cross pierced with small holes – a motif that symbolises the axis of the world. At the top is the name of the issuing country, “LIETUVA”, framed by the mint mark and the year “2016”.

The outer ring of the coin depicts the twelve stars of the European flag.
