OBVERSE

A reinterpretation of the historic Louis d'or, this exceptional coin takes up the features of the gold note created under Louis XIII to compete with the Spanish gold notes already in circulation. Engraved by Jean Warin, the profile of King Louis XIII comes from a 10 Louis coin currently held in the collections of the Monnaie de Paris. On the left of the portrait are the monograms of Louis XIII. The letter A corresponds to the workshop in which the original coin that served as inspiration for this creation was struck (A=Paris).

REVERSE

The reverse of this new collection highlights the three time eras to which
belong to the three inspirations of this trilogy. Fitting into a hexagon, these three graphic friezes interpret the French flag in its heraldic form.
The face value, the RF symbol and the guarantee hallmarks complete the
composition of this reverse.
