This piece is dedicated to Iron Maiden’s monumental album “The Book of Souls”. The double album, released on 4th September 2015, is the band’s longest musical record with an epic running time of 92 minutes and 11 seconds. Recorded in Paris, the album exudes a real live feel. What is particularly remarkable is that “The Book of Souls” contains Iron Maiden’s longest song to date, the 18-minute masterpiece “Empire of the Clouds”. Mark Wilkinson’s striking cover vividly depicts Iron Maiden mascot Eddie as a Mayan warrior. The album reached the top of the charts in 24 countries and gave Iron Maiden another number 1 hit in the UK.
