Did you know that cycling has contributed to the emancipation of women and that it has existed for 200 years? The bicycle is relatively inexpensive, flexible, fast and is used both functionally and recreational. In short, it is an ally for humans but also for the environment! By bike, cyclists feel free and happy. In addition, there are more and more variants of two-wheelers and, in our "green" landscape, it has never been so popular!

It is in this context that the royal currency of Belgium decided to issue a 2½ euros piece on the theme "Cycling experience in Belgium". The part of 2½ euros is struck in BU quality and appears in two linguistic versions. The Card of Currency presents, in a graphic and colorful way, elements of the bicycle and bikes in various environments. The room shows a cyclist passing in front of houses and trees on a road supported by shelves.
