Obverse

On the face of this currency presenting Jules Verne and his work to the global, the author embodies a magician, revealing all his inventions and imaginations of his upper hat. References to earth to the moon, around the moon, five weeks in balloon, the world tour in 80 days, the mysterious island, twenty thousand leagues under the seas and travels to the center of the earth mingle one to others to paint a global image of extraordinary trips. The name of the author, his dates and the vintage are on the left of the portrait.

Reverse

The reverse is common to the whole series "The art of the pen". We can see there registered several emblematic quotes such as "the best is the enemy of Voltaire" of Voltaire, "Lascate Ogne Speranza Voi Ch'intrate" by Dante Alighieri, "to be or not to be, that is the question" of William Shakespeare or "was Mich Nicht Umbringt Macht Mich Stärker" by Nietzsche. A feather is engraved in the center of the room. Below, the title of the series is present. The mention "RF" is present at the bottom of the room as well as the hallmark of Joaquin Jimenez and the engraving workshop.
