The drawing of this currency reveals the profile ofErasmus, humanist canon, philosopher and theologian who inspired the creation of Erasmus program. During his life, he campaigned for peace in Europe, in the hope of seeing a Europe more unified and inclusive.

It is surrounded by beams from the flag stars European which appear on the crown, projecting the number 35 in the center of the room, in reference to 35 years of the Erasmus program. These links represent the many intellectual exchanges and
humans between students Europeans.
