Smiley was created in 1972 by the French journalist Franklin Loufrani who used the Smiley logo in order to highlight the good news in the newspaper France Evening.

The Smiley has been infiltrated communication modes for 50 years and has become a vector of joy through written language but also through many products worldwide. The currency of Paris celebrates this anniversary with a collection of mini-medals or a money in money.
