OBVERSE

In the crown, the twelve stars of the European Community are arranged in groups of 6, on the left and right. At the top, "MONACO" and on the opposite side, the year surrounded by the symbols of the Paris Mint and the General Engraver of Coins. The engraving pays homage to Prince Rainier III, who reigned from 1949 to 2005.
