Quality be vintage 2020

On the occasion of the 3rd anniversary of his disappearance by Johnny Hallyday and the 60th anniversary of his first title, the Monnaie de Paris decided to pay tribute to this great artist through a new range of monetary and non -monetary products. This collection highlights the showman, the outstanding guitarist as well as the great biker that Johnny was.

The face of this currency pays homage to the greatness and longevity of the career of Johnny Hallyday. The two portraits separated by the curve of a guitar represent the artist two moments from his life which was dedicated to music and the scene. The acronym "RF" is also stylized in the form of guitar strings. The inscription "60 years of memories" underlines the long career of the favorite rocker of the French and refers to his cult song "Souvenirs, Souvenirs"

The reverse of this currency represents two objects having punctuated the life of the taulier the guitar and the motorcycle. Biker at heart, the artist's favorite vehicle is subtly integrated into the guitar box. The guitar strings form its name to symbolize its deep link with this instrument.
