Obverse

The drawing represents the tower of the University of Coimbra and a visual composition of triangles representing the roofs of the University of Coimbra, the highest being that of the Joanina library, with the inscription "Universidade de Coimbra 730 Anos Portugal 2020" (English - University of Coimbra 730 Years Portugal 2020).
The outside ring of the room represents the 12 stars of the European flag.
