This 5 -euro collector's item is the fourth program of the five -piece series "Climatic zones of the Earth" and is devoted to the subpolar zone.
The series started in 2017 and will go until 2021, one program per year is therefore published. The reason for the 2020 edition designed by the Natalie Tekampe artist represents a typical landscape of the subpolar zone. The image shows an artificial tundra with subarctic mountain chains in the background. In the center of the drawing, you can see a reindeer, which is the best known representative of this climatic zone. The pattern is surrounded by a translucent and turquoise polymer ring and inscription " Subpolare Zone ". The color of the polymer ring is different each year depending on the theme and depends on the climatic conditions of each climate zone.
The reverse, which is the same for all the pieces in the series, was designed by the artist Stefanie Radtke of Leipzig. It includes the federal eagle and the inscriptions "Bundesrepublik Deutschland", the facial value and the year 2020. The twelve stars of Europe and the workshop brand "A, D, F, G and/or J" Complete the drawing. The plain edge of the part contains the inscription: "Klimazonen der Erde".
